Yee Haw will be in court again over “code enforcement violations,” on Monday April 28th, at 8:30 am. And well, you’re all invited! I especially hope people who are dealing with and/or have dealt with Connors and Desadier will attend to show support for their fellow code enforcement victims. Yeehaw is the first and probably won’t be the last of the code enforcement lawsuits brought against a small rural land owner. Let’s show the county council and code enforcement that we will stand together.
AND: Remember the court bailiffs are pricks and won’t let you bring in or leave any bags, packs, or briefcases - so you might want to leave them in your car.
From Humboldtherald blog comes this request. I don’t know how to fulfill it but by posting a picture here.

Wednesday April 17, 2008 the Eureka Police Department ticketed 18 people for “camping.” If anyone can locate any of these accused please send them my way. Eureka, as well as Arcata, has lost these cases in court already and have done nothing to bring local laws in line with constitutional guarantees. If you are homeless and have no place to sleep you can not be convicted of “camping” when there is no legal place for you to sleep.
Though many potential crimes were reported by the EPD in the press release nobody was arrested for any such crimes. Camping was the only crime people were cited for. Help us stop the illegal ticketing of homeless for life sustaining activities.
If anyone in Humboldt County wants to fight their camping tickets I can hook you up with a lawyer and help you with all the court shit. Contact me.
My computer has had a virus lately, so please forgive the lengthly absence.
As everyone knows that on April 8th 2008 the Humboldt County Board of Supervisors declared a moratorium on all code enforcement raids. By the next meeting on April 15th the Supes decided to change the moratorium to only prohibit new code enforcement warrants. What most people fail to realize is that as of Monday April 14th the District Attorney Paul Gallegos un-deputized the code enforcement “officers.” Which means that they can’t get warrants even if they were not under a moratorium. In other words the moratorium does absolutely nothing that wasn’t done by the DA anyway.
Why are the supes, who constantly support marijuana eradication grants, trying to make us believe they are doing shit about code enforcement abuse? Expect the same cops to brow-beat the citizens into giving consent to search their properties. And worse expect constant harassment of those already victimized by the heavy handed abuse of code enforcement.
The merger of Corporate Power (the economy) and Government Power (the military) is what Benito Mussolini called Fascism.Nobody likes fascism, so fascist sneak around in order to implement their agendas. One of the ways in which they accomplish this is the last minute emergency meeting to “decide” something that would have to be decided in a more open and legitimate forum at the appropriate time. Last nightthe fascist city council of Eureka did just that. The cowards called an emergency meeting to decide if a contract with Garr “POP ‘em” Nielsen should be extended for five more years. Some within the Eureka Police Department believe the “emergency” was an attempt to quiet dissent among the Eureka Police Officers Association members.
Besides lying and covering-up the EPD’s beating of Martin Cotton to death, Garr has multiple accusations of sexual harassment, and the demotion of Captain Harpham Murl Harpham which angers even his own cops.
I hate to say it, but I agree with the cops on this one, that it is time to throw the Garr Badge out.
